Our approach
Every assessment here is a pastoral tool. It is built to help a person reflect and take a clear next step, not to diagnose or to grade. Each one is grounded in Scripture and, where relevant, in established research or a named framework. We aim for honesty over flattery. A good result is one that tells you the truth in a way you can act on.
How each assessment is built
- A central question. Each tool answers one clear question, such as how you handle conflict or where your church is in its growth.
- Items and response format. Most tools use short statements you rate, or either-or choices. The number of items and the format are shown on each assessment page before you begin.
- Scoring. Answers roll up into a small number of areas or a type. We show your pattern, not a single pass-or-fail number.
- Interpretation. Your report explains what the pattern means, names a strength and a growth area, and gives a practical next step and Scripture where it fits.
Intended and prohibited uses
These tools are intended for personal growth, discipleship, leadership development, and church health. They are not intended to hire, fire, promote, or exclude anyone, and they are not a clinical or psychological diagnosis. See our Terms of Use for the full statement.
Sources and frameworks
Some assessments draw on widely used frameworks, and we credit them plainly. Where an assessment adapts a specific author's model or a published instrument, that credit appears on the assessment page and inside the report. Frameworks referenced across the catalog include the Big Five model of personality, the DISC model, type-based frameworks, the fivefold ministry pattern of Ephesians 4, and established models of leadership and church health.
How we talk about accuracy
We do not claim a tool is "scientifically proven" without evidence, and we do not call a pastoral tool "diagnostic." We do not publish accuracy percentages we cannot support, and we do not claim a result reveals God's will with certainty. When an instrument is still being validated, we say so rather than calling it validated.
Review and versioning
Assessments are reviewed by ministry and subject-matter reviewers before they go live, and they carry a review date. As we refine wording and scoring, we update the version and the date. Per-assessment methodology details, including item counts, response formats, and named sources, are shown on each assessment page and are being expanded into a full methodology note for every tool.
